Mixed match

Our first mixed match of the season was played in glorious weather last Sunday. Our very good friends from Lee Moor provided the opposition. Oreston won 78 shots to 59 shots. The win was great, congratulations to all who played but the atmosphere and friendliness of the afternoon was just as important. It was so good to see the green being used with all dressed in white and laughter coming from many rinks. It was a hard fought game played within the right spirit. Tea was a big success. Sitting outside in the gloriious sunshine was a bonus. Let's hope for more wonderful days, competitive bowling and friendships renewed ornew ones made.
